Context: The president clearly meant that Comey had been falsely depicting him as complicit in Russia's perfidy, but Democrats pounced, spinning Trup's statemetn as admission that Comey ....

Perfidy: per·fi·dy [ˈpərfədē] NOUN literary deceitfulness; untrustworthiness.

Comment: This is pretty easy to figure out, or at least approximate, from the context but when asking myself if I could define the word if not in context, I could not.
